The objectives of The Friends of Bosnia Society are to promote the idea of one united Bosnia and Hercegovina within her historical and natural borders; to help to build one united multi-ethnic, multi-religion,multi-cultural, free and democratic Bosnia; to promote peace, and peaceful co-existence within the borders of Bosnia and Hercegovina; to build a favorable public opinion for the foregoing objects in Canada; to help the destitute people of Bosnia, the widowed, the orphaned, old, wounded and sick, to provide them with food, shelter and the necessities of life, to deliver financial aid for said purposes; to help Bosnian refugees already in Canada to settle, to assist them financially and to help them to integrate into Canadian society; to do scholarly research and to provide scholarships relating to the history of Bosnia; to inform and enlighten the Canadian public about Bosnian culture and civilization; to search for blue prints of the destroyed cultural and religious monuments, historical buildings and bridges, and to restore and rebuild them; to find copies of destroyed and damaged books; to repair and build libraries.
MEMBERSHIP
If you have already heard of us and want to become a member the following applies:
1. Single membership of 18 years and older is $25
2. Family membership(for husband and wife) is $40
3. Student membership is $15
4. Children(under 18 years of age) and Senior Citizen's(over the age of 60) membership is $5

Our location right now is mainly situated in Ottawa, Canada. Up to now we have 125 Bosnian families in which we help. Also we sponser 5 children in Bosnia, and we continue to build on this number.
